WASHINGTON, September 30. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump believes that Iran will choose to surrender in the future.

"They're doing very poorly. I don't know if they're going to give up yet, but they'll give up," he told journalists after meeting with the leaders of AI companies.

"We took more oil out of the armor strait over the last couple of days than at any point in history, including long before we had the war to stop the nuclear weapon."

He reiterated his confidence that "Iran will not have a nuclear weapon."

The Islamic Republic have repeatedly said that it does not seek to develop this type of weaponry.

The United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding providing for an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, on the night of July 8, the United States resumed large·scale strikes against Iran, accusing it of violating the agreements on the Strait of Hormuz. Before the conflict began, nearly a quarter of the world’s oil trade and about 20% of liquefied natural gas were transported through it.
