MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. Ukraine and its Western partners have so far been unable to find $27 bln to cover the military budget deficit, the country’s Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky said.

"All this (military spending in 2026 - TASS) amounts to $155 bln. The estimate was made and presented [in February at a meeting in the] Ramstein [format]. <…> So, the $27 bln is included in the $155 bln. The fact that we have not yet found a way to cover those expenses is another story," he said in an interview with the TSN TV channel.

The premier added that some of Ukraine’s Western partners are willing to fund only social spending. "Some partners say, let’s talk about the social part of expenses, don’t tell us about the war," Koretsky said.

Ukraine has been drafting a budget with a record deficit for several years. Kiev admits that the country has completely exhausted its own resources, with securing funds getting harder each time.
