UNITED NATIONS, September 22. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump believes he and Russian leader Vladimir Putin may hold another face-to-face meeting soon, but it is unlikely to take place at the upcoming G20 summit near Miami, Florida.

Reporters asked Trump about the prospects for a trilateral meeting with Vladimir Zelensky at the G20 summit. "Well, I don't know. I know that he [Putin] will meet, and we've had a meeting already in Alaska. I think he'd do another one. I don't know about Miami," Trump replied.

He spoke to reporters at the start of a meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The G20 summit will take place on December 14-15 in Doral near Miami.

Trump also stressed that he believes Putin wants to reach a settlement of the Ukraine conflict. "He'd like to see the war ended," Trump said. "I think they both want to see the war ended. To be honest with you, it's time. <...> I think they both want to see the war ended."

Russia has repeatedly reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the Ukraine crisis through diplomatic means, while pointing out that the Kiev authorities are not ready to settle the conflict through negotiations.
