TUNIS, September 19. /TASS/. Saudi Arabia's air defense systems have repelled a missile attack of the Yemeni Ansar Allah (Houthis) movement on Riyadh, official representative of the Saudi-led coalition, Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki said.
"Saudi Arabia's air defense forces intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis on Saturday morning in the direction of Riyadh," he said in a statement, adding that the Houthis had stepped up their attempts to attack civilian targets in the capital.
Earlier explosions were heard in the capital of Saudi Arabia.
