MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. Russia and China are doing everything they can to have Iran's back and help it, while the situation is inevitably moving day by day toward what could be called a "strategic defeat for the United States in West Asia," Brazilian international journalist and Eurasian geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar told TASS.

"In fact, the Americans are already at war with both Russia and China," he said. "They are at war with this entire 'trio' [Russia, China and India - TASS]. At the same time, these three countries are now the most influential within BRICS."

"India is a separate matter. It is good for Russia that it has good relations with this country," the analyst stressed. "However, this is not the top priority on the geopolitical agenda. The priority now is the need to protect Iran. And Russia and China are doing everything they can behind the scenes to have Iran's back. The Iranians know this."

"Thus, we are approaching what could be called a strategic defeat for the United States in West Asia. This is what we are moving toward day by day, not only in Iran but now also in Yemen, given the situation with Saudi Arabia," Escobar explained.
