NEW DELHI, September 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India whose capital city will host the BRICS summit.

The Il-96 flight carrying the Russian leader landed at the Palam Air Force Station, a TASS correspondent reported. A guard of honor last welcomed Putin at the Indian military base last winter when he arrived for a state visit.

The BRICS summit will run through September 13. Friday will mostly host discussions of bilateral issues and meetings with other visiting BRICS leaders.
