Indian foreign minister to arrive on two-day visit to Russia on Sunday — diplomatic agency

According to a press release, during the visit, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will also meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and "exchange perspectives on regional and global issues."

NEW DELHI, August 22. /TASS/. India’s top diplomat, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, will visit Russia on August 23-24, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced on Saturday.

"At the invitation of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, the External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, will undertake an official visit to Russia on 23-24 August 2026 to co-chair the 27th Session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC)," the Indian ministry said in a press release.

According to it, during the visit, Jaishankar will also meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and "exchange perspectives on regional and global issues.".
