STOCKHOLM, August 21. /TASS/. The Finnish Foreign Ministry summoned Russian Ambassador to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov over an alleged violation of airspace, the ministry said in a statement on X.

"The Foreign Ministry of Finland has today summoned the Ambassador of Russia and requested an explanation regarding a suspected violation of airspace," the statement said.

Earlier, Yle, citing the Finnish Border Guard, reported that a Russian Ilyushin Il-20 aircraft allegedly violated Finnish airspace on Thursday.

The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stressed that all Russian military aviation flights are conducted in strict compliance with international airspace rules.
