Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi said that Iran had not yet reached its final objective

WASHINGTON, August 12. /TASS/. The US military has proved weaker in the current conflict than Tehran expected, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, an adviser to the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said.

"The longer this war lasts, the more experience we gain. We had never seen a real war to gain real experience to learn how to fight with America. In these five months, we have learned how. We have also seen how the American military is weaker than what we perceived," he told the US broadcaster PBS in an interview.

The general added that Iran had not yet reached its final objective. "Up until now, we are victorious. In the future, we will continue to be victorious," he said.

According to Naqdi, the United States has failed to achieve its key goals of "toppling of the leadership and the breaking up of Iran." We saw confusion and bewilderment in America. It became a war without a strategy. Every two or three days, they announced a new objective," he noted.

The United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding envisaging an immediate ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, early on July 8, the United States resumed massive airstrikes on Iran, accusing Tehran of violating their previous agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
