MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Valery Zaluzhny, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom and former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is the most trusted figure by Ukrainians, while Vladimir Zelensky is fourth in Ukraine’s confidence rating, according to a poll by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

As shown by the poll results posted on the KIIS website, Zaluzhny is trusted by 66% of the polled. He is followed by former Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov (63%), and Zelensky’s chief of staff Kirill Budanov (61%). Zelensky, who was previously ranked among the top three, has dropped to fourth place with 56%.

Kharkov Mayor Igor Terekhov is fifth with 47%, and founder of the Azov nationalist unit (banned in Russia as a terrorist organization) Andrey Biletsky (designated as a terrorist and extremist in Russia) is sixth with 37%.

Other public figures, such as TV host Sergey Pritula, Verkhovna Rada (parliament) members Dmitry Razumkov, Alexey Goncharenko (designated as terrorist and extremist in Russia), and Pyotr Poroshenko (Ukraine’s ex-president, put on Russia’s list of individuals involved in extremist activities and terrorism), are trusted by far fewer respondents, with Poroshenko ranking last with 20%.

The poll was conducted from July 16 to 31 using random telephone interviews and interviews with tablet users among citizens over the age of 18 residing in the Kiev-controlled territory of Ukraine. A total of 1,808 interviews were conducted during the survey. The margin of error does not exceed 3.5%, according to the KIIS.
