Monsoon, tropical cyclones claim 13 lives in the Philippines
Over 1.3 million residents across 10 regions have been affected by the disaster

At least 13 people have lost their lives, 14 have been injured, and nine remain missing in the Philippines amid the devastating impact of a powerful southwest monsoon and multiple tropical cyclones across various regions, according to the Manila Bulletin, citing the Office of Civil Defense.
The agency reports that over 1.3 million residents across 10 regions have been affected by the disaster. In response, the military, police, and fire services are actively engaged in search and rescue operations.
Currently, more than 58,000 individuals are sheltered in evacuation centers, while an additional 40,000 are receiving assistance outside temporary facilities. Relief efforts continue as authorities work tirelessly to aid those affected.
