MOSCOW, August 8. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky has claimed that Ukraine reached an agreement with the United States on monthly supplies of interceptor missiles.

"Who has interceptor missiles and systems? Those who produce them, primarily the United States. Can it offer assistance? We are working on that. Missiles will be provided to us every month; we have agreements. Will these missiles be enough? No," Zelensky said at a joint press conference with Serbian President Alexandar Vucic.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine currently has fewer interceptor missiles than it did last year.

Earlier, the Ukrainian military acknowledged that it had failed to intercept any of the Tsirkon or Iskander missiles launched by the Russian Armed Forces overnight into August 5.

The Financial Times reported earlier that US President Donald Trump had declined Zelensky's request for additional Patriot interceptors, saying Washington needed the missiles to protect its assets and allies in the Middle East. Zelensky later again complained of a shortage of interceptor missiles, saying several facilities in Kiev had been hit during the August 5 attack because of delays by Western partners in supplying the weapons.
