RABAT, August 6. /TASS/. About 60 Moroccans are considered missing nearly a week after masses of illegal migrants had crossed to the Spanish African exclave of Ceuta last week, according to news portal The Maghreb Times.

According to its sources in law enforcement agencies, the initial list of the missing consisted of 43 people, including men, women, and children.

On Thursday the authorities learned that relatives had found three young people among those who returned from Ceuta.

Later, there were reports about 17 more people who went missing. Thus, according to the sources, 57 Moroccans are currently listed as missing.

Morocco said that this number may increase and recommended that families who cannot contact or find their loved ones "not rely solely on social media in their search," as it does not replace official channels.
