Ukraine’s foreign minister says Kiev has to ‘fight’ for every Patriot missile
Andrey Sibiga noted that the US could produce about 600 PAC-3 missiles per year
MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. Ukraine is forced to "fight" for every PAC-3 interceptor missile for its Patriot systems, acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga stated.
"Unfortunately, such is the world and such are the geopolitical realities that the US can produce about 600 PAC-3 missiles per year. And given the situation in the Middle East, we understand how difficult it is for us right now to obtain, purchase, exchange, and acquire these missiles. We are literally fighting for every single missile," he said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities regularly complain about a shortage of ammunition for the air defense systems in service with the Ukrainian armed forces and ask Western countries to increase supplies of the relevant weapons.
