WASHINGTON, July 28. /TASS/. Only 33% of US respondents said they support Washington’s military strikes against Iran, which is the lowest figure since the start of the conflict, according to a poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos on July 24-26 among 1,248 adult US residents.

Of those polled, 33% approve of US actions against Iran, 62% oppose them, and 5% did not give a clear answer. The poll also found that 69% of respondents believe that President Donald Trump has not clearly explained the objectives of Washington’s military action against Tehran.

According to the poll results, Trump’s approval rating has risen to 37%. At the end of June, it was 34%, the lowest since his inauguration on January 20, 2025.

The US and Israel began a war with Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, in the early morning hours of July 8, the US resumed large-scale strikes against Iran, accusing it of violating the terms of the agreements reached regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
