MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. Tehran reserves the right to respond to the killing of an Iranian sailor in a Ukrainian attack on a ship in the Caspian Sea, Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali told TASS.
"Our foreign minister [Abbas Araghchi] has pointed out that Iran reserves the right to respond. All decisions that are in line with the Islamic Republic’s interests will be made by our leadership in Iran," the envoy said, when asked about the possibility of military measures.
On July 25, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that Ukraine had carried out a strike on an Iranian merchant ship in the Caspian Sea, killing one crew member.
