TEHRAN, July 24. /TASS/. A series of explosions was heard in the Iranian cities of Bandar Abbas and Omidiyeh, and on the Qeshm Island, Iran’s IRIB news agency reported.

Shortly after, the agency said blasts also rocked the southwestern Iranian city of Andimeshk, Konarak in the southeast, Khorramabad in the west, and Firuzabad in the south of Central Iran.

According to the Fars news agency, reports of explosions also came from the southern Iranian city of Bandar-e-Jask.

In turn, the IRNA news agency said at least two US missiles landed on the outskirts of Khondab in Central Iran.

Other details are unknown at this point.

Earlier, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the start of its new wave of strikes on Iran. Almost simultaneously with the announcement, the Fars news agency said several explosions were heard in the city of Ahvaz in southwestern Iran.
