Armenian opposition calls Constitutional Court’s ruling ‘start of new phase of resistance’
The document noted that the court’s decision "does not resolve the issue of the legitimacy of the government being formed" nor does it "eliminate election fraud, massive violations of the electoral process, or resolve the deep political and legal crisis in the country."
YEREVAN, July 4. /TASS/. The Constitutional Court’s decision on the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections is not the end of the struggle, but the beginning of a new, more institutionalized and large-scale phase of political resistance, five Armenian opposition political forces said in a joint statement.
"This decision by the Constitutional Court is not the end of the struggle, but the beginning of a new, more systematic, institutional, and large-scale phase of political resistance. Discussions are ongoing over the actions that opposition political forces should take on the abovementioned points," the statement said.
