Over 30 killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s south, east — ministry
40 more people were wounded
BEIRUT, May 27. /TASS/. Israeli warplanes delivered a series of nighttime strikes on populated areas in Lebanon’s south and east, housing Hezbollah bases, killing 31 people and wounding 40, the republic’s health ministry said.
"A total of 16 people fell victim of the enemy’s air raid on the Burj el-Shemali refugee camp in the city of Tyre. Among them are two children and three women. Three more Lebanese citizens were killed in the town of Maarakah," the ministry said in a bulletin posted on X.
Five deaths were reported in the village of Kawthariyet el-Rez in the Saida District. Four people, including two children, were killed in the town of Habboush in the province of Nabatieh.
The health ministry of Lebanon said on May 26 that the overall death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 had reached 3,213. A total of 9,737 people had been wounded.
