According to Viktor Medvedchuk, dragging Belarus into the conflict would only worsen the situation for the Ukrainian military

MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. The Kiev regime is seeking to do everything possible to drag Belarus into a military conflict, Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the Opposition Platform - For Life party, which is banned in Ukraine, said.

He noted that Vladimir Zelensky has recently begun making erratic threats against Belarus, thereby escalating tensions with Minsk.

"Kiev is doing everything it can to provoke Minsk, just as it previously did everything in its power to incite conflict with Russia. So, instead of using Belarus as a venue for peace talks and Alexander Lukashenko as an experienced negotiator, they are inviting [Svetlana] Tikhanovskaya to Ukraine," he wrote in an article published on the movement’s website.

According to the politician, dragging Belarus into the conflict would only worsen the situation for the Ukrainian military.

"But this is only relevant if one considers the interests of the country and the Ukrainian people. Zelensky has a completely different perspective: for him, dragging Belarus into the war is simply a source of additional funding, which he so desperately needs," he said.

According to Medvedchuk, it is important for the Kiev regime to remove Belarus as a loyal ally of Russia standing in the way of Western dictatorship.
