TEL AVIV, May 24. /TASS/. The Israeli military has eliminated a Hamas terrorist who took part in the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

"Over the weekend (Friday), the IDF eliminated the terrorist Louay Hisham Mahmoud Basal, who served as a sniper in the Hamas Zeitoun Battalion of the Gaza City Brigade. The terrorist posed an immediate threat to IDF troops and was eliminated in a precise strike," it said. "Intelligence analysis indicates that the terrorist Louay Hisham Mahmoud Basal infiltrated the Zikim base during the brutal October 7th massacre, and has recently been operating to execute attacks against IDF troops.".
