BUCHAREST, May 19. /TASS/. Naval personnel from six NATO member states are taking part in the international Opex-26 (Operational Experimentation) exercises involving autonomous maritime drones, which have begun in the Black Sea, the Romanian Naval Forces Staff reported.
The international maneuvers, aimed at testing maritime unmanned systems, are being held from May 18-29 at the military port of Mangalia and in several areas of the Black Sea, the statement said.
The exercises involve Bulgaria, Canada, Portugal, Romania, the United States, and Turkey, as well as representatives of civilian companies producing maritime drones.
