NEW YORK, May 18. /TASS/. At the weekend, US President Donald Trump met with his national security team to discuss Washington’s potential next steps on Iran, CNN reported.
According to the TV channel, the meeting, attended by US Secretary of State JD Vance, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, took place at the US leader’s golf club in Virginia on Saturday.
Trump is expected to convene another meeting of his national security officials early this week.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon has prepared military target plans should the US leader decide to resume the hostilities against the Islamic Republic. The list of potential targets includes Iranian energy and infrastructure facilities, according to CNN.
