TEL AVIV, May 17. /TASS/. The situation around Iran was the focus of a phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, The Times of Israel reported.

According to the newspaper, the conversation came amid reports that the United States and Israel are preparing to restart their military campaign against Iran. Netanyahu and Trump discussed "the possibility of renewing the war with Iran," as well as the results of Trump’s recent visit to China, it said.

Shortly after this conversation, Netanyahu called a meeting of the Israeli war cabinet, which will be held later in the day.
