TEHRAN, May 8. /TASS/. Washington opts for "a reckless military adventure" every time a diplomatic solution seems close, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

"Every time a diplomatic solution is on the table, the US opts for a reckless military adventure," he wrote on X.

The United States Central Command stated earlier that strikes had been carried out on Iranian military facilities in response to attacks on US missile destroyers transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
