MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso has arrived in Moscow, where he hopes to strengthen relations with Russia, he said.

"The purpose of my visit to Moscow is to strengthen our bilateral relations," Sassou Nguesso told Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.

Sassou Nguesso noted that the visit is taking place shortly after his re-election and thanked his Russian counterpart for his congratulations and the cordial and friendly reception in Moscow.
