TUNIS, April 4. /TASS/. Iran’s Armed Forces used a new air defense system to intercept and destroy hostile targets, a spokesman for the Iranian Khatam-al Anbiya headquarters, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, said.
According to his statement, quoted by Iran’s state broadcaster, on Friday, air defense systems of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force shot down "a cutting-edge US fifth-generation fighter jet F-35, three drones MQ-9 and Hermes, and two cruise missiles." The IRGC’s ground-based air defense, in turn, intercepted an A-10 fighter jet and two Black Hawk helicopters.
