TEL AVIV, April 3. /TASS/. Israeli-US strikes on Iran have destroyed 70% of the Islamic Republic’s steel production capacity, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported.

"Together with our American friends, we are continuing to crush the terrorist regime in Iran. We are eliminating commanders, and bombing bridges and infrastructure. In recent days, the Air Force has destroyed 70% of Iran's steel production capacity. This is a tremendous achievement that deprives the IRGC (the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces - TASS) of both funding sources and the ability to produce large quantities of weapons," he stated at a meeting at the Israeli Defense Ministry.

The United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation, targeting sites in Israel. US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were also hit. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key Iranian leaders were killed in the joint US-Israeli attack.
