CAIRO, April 3. /TASS/. Several explosions have been reported to rock the city of Bushehr in southern Iran, Al Arabiya television channel reported on Friday.

According to Al Arabiya, missile launch systems were shelled. There is no official information on behalf of the Iranian side as of yet.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) reported on March 28 that Israel and the US had carried out another strike on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant area, the third one since February 28.

According to media reports, the facility was not damaged. The day before, the Iranian authorities reported strikes on a heavy water production plant in the city of Khondab in the country’s west.

The United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation, targeting sites in Israel. US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were also hit. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key Iranian leaders were killed in the joint US-Israeli attack.
