Iran’s IRGC claims attack on Amazon’s computing center in Bahrain
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps emphasized that this is only a first warning, and if the aggression continues, "the next companies, which have already been mentioned, will be punished much more severely"
TEHRAN, April 2. /TASS/. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the armed forces) has claimed to have carried out strikes on a cloud computing center of the US company Amazon in Bahrain.
"As part of the first action against technology companies involved in espionage and terrorism, the cloud computing center of Amazon in Bahrain was attacked and destroyed, and according to the company’s own statement, they are in the process of leaving the region," the Iranian state broadcasting company quoted a fragment of the message. The IRGC emphasized that this is only a first warning, and if the aggression continues, "the next companies, which have already been mentioned, will be punished much more severely."
On March 31, the IRGC threatened to strike facilities belonging to 18 US IT companies in the region, including Intel, Cisco and Microsoft, if attacks on Iran continue.
