Western plans for Iran have failed — Iranian government
Head of the government's Information Council Elias Hazrati stressed that the Iranian people displayed unprecedented unity
TEHRAN, April 2. /TASS/. Elias Hazrati, head of the Iranian government's Information Council, has asserted that Western efforts to undermine Iran have utterly failed.
He remarked, "In recent years, Western think tanks have repeatedly advanced the notion that Iran, as a vast and resilient nation, should be divided into smaller states to facilitate control. Their primary intent was to partition Iran, overthrow its regime, and ultimately seize control of its vital oil resources. Based on these assumptions, they believed they could swiftly achieve their objectives within days. However, the reality proved to be the complete opposite. Despite severe blows - including the loss of several prominent figures and commanders - the Iranian people displayed unprecedented unity. All internal divisions were set aside as Iranians from diverse backgrounds rallied together to defend their homeland."
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a coordinated assault against Iran, targeting major cities including Tehran. Responding swiftly, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale retaliatory operation, launching attacks against Israeli targets and US military installations across Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
