BEIRUT, April 1. /TASS/. At least 50 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Beirut and southern Lebanon in the past day, the Lebanese Health Ministry said in a statement on X.

"The total number of people killed since military tensions escalated has reached 1,318, and another 3,935 have been injured," the statement reads.

According to the ministry, there are 125 children and 89 women among those killed.
