Israel to step up strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon after Iran war ends — FT
According to former Israeli National Security Advisor Yaakov Amidror, the sequence of operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran "was designed to avoid simultaneous, full-scale wars on multiple fronts"
LONDON, April 1. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will step up strikes against Hezbollah militias in southern Lebanon once the military operation against Iran concludes, and may then return to addressing issues in the Gaza Strip, the Financial Times (FT) reported, citing sources.
The publication notes that after the war with Iran ends and the IDF air force is freed, attacks against Hezbollah are expected to intensify.
According to former Israeli National Security Advisor Yaakov Amidror, a fellow at the Jewish Institute for National Security in America (JINSA) in Washington, the sequence of operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran "was designed to avoid simultaneous, full-scale wars on multiple fronts." They have inflicted powerful blows, but the campaign is not finished yet, he added.
After Lebanon, the Israelis, according to the analyst, will return to Gaza if the US-brokered ceasefire reached last October does not lead to the full disarmament of Hamas.
