MINSK, March 19. /TASS/. Belarus is open to sincere negotiations with the United States regarding developments in the Middle East since Washington is currently waging a war in the region against Belarusian friends, President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday.

"I should rather insist on asking you to discuss regional issues. It concerns not only Ukrainian problems, but also global ones as well. And not only the war in the Middle East," Lukashenko was quoted as saying by BelTA news agency during a meeting with a US delegation led by Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale at the Palace of Independence.

"I think my point of view on global issues, especially the situation in the Middle East, will be significant to you, since you are fighting against our friends. I'm ready to hold sincere talks on this issue," Lukashenko added.
