Europe needs to develop missile production in a very urgent and very rapid way, Andrius Kubilius stated

BRUSSELS, March 6. /TASS/. European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius stated that the US will not be able to produce sufficient weapons due to the escalation in the Middle East.

"Americans will not be able to provide enough of those missiles for the Gulf countries, for their own army, and also for Ukraine," Kubilius said. "The situation is really critical," he added. "We need to develop missile production in a very urgent and very rapid way," he said at a joint news conference with Polish Defense Minister Wіadysіaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to Reuters.

On February 28, the US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. The strikes targeted major Iranian cities, including Tehran. The White House justified the attack by citing missile and nuclear threats, it said, emanating from Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale retaliatory operation, hitting targets inside Israel. US assets in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia also came under attack. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and several other key figures in the Islamic Republic’s leadership were killed.
