UN, March 5. /TASS/. Iran finds claims that it has closed the Strait of Hormuz unfounded and absurd, and believes the real threat to navigation comes from the United States.

"The claim that Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz is baseless and absurd. Iran remains committed to international law and freedom of navigation. In reality, it is the US that has endangered maritime security," the Iranian mission to the UN wrote on X.
