NEW YORK, March 3. /TASS/. Israel and the United States will face depletion of ammunition arsenals for target interception systems as early as next week, if the current intensity of hostilities persists, CNN reported.
"But my supposition is that, after about sort of another week of this, we would begin to see very, very serious shortages, particularly of the most high-end interceptor munitions," he added," military commentator Shashank Joshi said in a comment to the TV channel.
Earlier, the United States said it has sufficient ammunition stocks to continue strikes against Iran with Israel.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, hitting major Iranian cities, including Tehran. The White House justified the attack with missile and nuclear threats allegedly coming from Tehran.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps retaliate with a sweeping attack on Israel. US targets in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were also hit.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key Iranian figures were killed.
