Hungary’s PM calls for expert evaluation of Druzhba pipeline status

LONDON, February 26. /TASS/. Budapest asked the European Union for sending a mission to Ukraine for assessment of the condition of the Druzhba oil pipeline with participating experts from Hungary and Slovakia, according to the letter sent by Prime Minister Viktor Orban to President of the European Council Antonio Costa, seen by Reuters.
"Hungary supports the idea of a fact-finding mission with the participation of experts delegated by Hungary and Slovakia to verify the status of the Druzhba pipeline," Orban said in the letter.
The Hungarian Prime Minister noted he was aware of the political difficulties caused by the delay in extending the EU loan to Ukraine, the news agency reported. "My imitative also aims at facilitating the timeline resolution of this issue," the letter indicated.
