Ukraine’s former Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov opined that "it was not Kiev’s own decision"

MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Ukraine is blocking the Druzhba oil pipeline on orders from Brussels to remove Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Ukraine’s former Prime Minister (in 2010-2014) Nikolay Azarov said.

"It was not Kiev’s own decision to halt, it (Kiev - TASS) did it on orders from the European Commission, which wants Orban to lose election and is using the Kiev regime in a bid to create oil supplies problems for Hungary, cause shortages, discontent, and so on. So, this is not it’s decision," he told TASS.

According to Azarov, the entire situation around Kiev’s blocking the Druzba pipeline has been hatched by the European Commission not to let Orban win the election.

"Tatarstan has announced that all repair works on the pipeline have been completed and they are ready to start pumping oil. It is difficult to say what the Kiev regime will cling on to now, so let us wait and see," he noted.

Despite the European Union’s position, Hungary and Slovakia opted not to refuse from Russian energy sources. However, Ukraine blocked the Druzhba pipeline used to supply oil to these countries across sits territory.
