TOKYO, February 8. /TASS/. Japan’s ruling coalition of the Liberal Democratic Party led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and the right-wing Japan Innovation Party (JIP) is poised to win two thirds of seats in the lower house of parliament in Sunday’s snap election, an exit poll conducted by NHK showed.
While the LDP is also likely to secure an individual lower house majority of over 233 seats, the ruling coalition can win a constitutional majority.
