Venezuela’s authorized president holds phone call with Trump, Rubio

CARACAS, January 30. /TASS/. Venezuela’s authorized President Delcy Rodriguez said she held a phone call with US President Donald Trump and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which they discussed a range of issues.

"I received a phone call from US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the conversation, we discussed our bilateral agenda," Rodriguez said on the Venezolana de Television TV channel.

She said the talks addressed a number of key issues, including the lifting of restrictions on commercial flights in Venezuelan airspace. "Airlines that want to operate should be able to do so, and the investors that are supposed to come should be able to do so," Rodriguez emphasized.

Earlier, the press office of Venezuela’s authorized president said that during the phone call, Trump announced the reopening of Venezuelan airspace and described relations with the current leadership of the Bolivarian Republic as "very strong."
