Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that relevant messages are transmitted through it whenever necessary

DUBAI, January 12. /TASS/. Tehran’s top diplomat Abbas Araghchi and a US presidential envoy exchange communications via a special channel, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said.

"The communication channel between Araghchi and a US special presidential envoy is open. The relevant messages are transmitted through it whenever necessary," he told a press conference.

Araghchi stated earlier that Iran was ready to hold talks with the US on an equal basis.
