US First Lady Melania Trump has decided not to hold a bilateral meeting with Vladimir Zelensky's wife in New York during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, despite the latter's requests, the New York Post reported, citing Melania's senior adviser Marc Beckman.

"The truth is that Mrs. Zelenskaya has reached out to Melania several times to set up a meeting, but there's no bilateral meeting. There’s nothing formal," Beckman said. "As our first lady is very polite, she’s going to say hello today, but there’s no sit-down, substantive conversation set, no meeting set," he emphasized.

The high-level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly kicked off in New York with the participation of about 150 heads of state and government, as well as foreign ministers. US President Donald Trump arrived at the meeting with his wife Melania.
