DUBAI, September 24. /TASS/. At least 11 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of ongoing Israeli army strikes on various areas of the Palestinian enclave, the Yemeni television channel Al Masirah reported.

According to the channel, one of the strikes hit the Nuseirat refugee camp, where four people were killed and several others injured. A tent camp for displaced persons in Gaza City was also bombed, resulting in seven fatalities.

On September 16, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the start of an intensive offensive operation in Gaza City, aimed at defeating the radical Palestinian movement Hamas. The Israeli Defense Forces stated that local residents had been repeatedly warned to evacuate the combat zone.
