BEIJING, September 3. /TASS/. Festivities to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War began in Beijnng’s Tiananmen Square.

The signal to begin was given by Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

Troops started to march across the Tiananmen Square. Simultaneously, artillery weapons were fired. The Chinese anthem was played, and the national flag was hoisted.
