Trump confident Putin wants to make deal on Ukraine

ANCHORAGE /Alaska/, August 16. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence after a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that the latter would like to make an agreement on Ukraine.
Trump told Fox News that he and Putin "spoke very sincerely" after a joint news conference. "I think he wants to see it done," he added.
The talks between the Russian and US leaders lasted about three hours. They involved the two countries’ presidential aides and top diplomats. Putin and Trump made statements to the media after the talks. Putin highlighted Moscow’s determination to resolve the Ukraine conflict and improve relations with the US, one of Russia’s closest neighbors. Trump pointed to progress in the negotiation process but noted that the parties had not been able to agree on all issues.
After the meeting, Putin laid flowers on the graves of Soviet pilots in Alaska.
