TEHRAN, July 28. /TASS/. Iranian intelligence has prevented at least 450 foreign fighters from infiltrating its territory during the June escalation of its conflict with Israel, the Ministry of Intelligence said in a statement.

"We have managed to identify the location of 300 foreign terrorists stationed near the southeastern border of the country, who were preparing to enter the territory of Iran, as well as prevent their further movement," the agency said.

It said that a group was also discovered in Syria, consisting of about 150 radicals preparing to invade the Islamic Republic.

The Intelligence Ministry added that Israel also sought to recruit and organize hundreds of foreign mercenaries under the auspices of the Balochistan Liberation United Front, whose actions are currently being monitored by the law enforcement agencies of the Islamic Republic.

In the early morning hours of June 13, Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Less than 24 hours later, Iran retaliated. Nine days later, on the morning of June 22, US jets attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities, entering the conflict. The following evening, Tehran launched a missile strike on Al Udeid, the largest US military airbase in the region, located in Qatar. According to the US authorities, there were no casualties or significant damage.

On June 24, Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a complete ceasefire. The Israeli authorities confirmed that they had accepted the US proposal and announced that they had completed all objectives in their operation against Iran. In turn, Tehran said that it had achieved victory over Tel Aviv by forcing it to unilaterally halt its aggression.
