PARIS, June 6. /TASS/. With so much money spent on aid for Ukraine, the French army is left with nothing, having to get by on "bread and water," the leader of the French party The Patriots, Florian Philippot, has said.

"Not a single cent is left for the French army! Everything has been spent on Ukraine and money continues to go there," he wrote on his X page.

According to Philippot, President Emmanuel Macron is supporting the idea of establishing a European army so vehemently because all the money has been drained from the budget to finance Ukraine.

"The French army and its weapons programs are on bread and water," he added.
