Trump says unhappy with massive Russian strike on Ukraine, calls for peace deal

The US leader called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to order a halt to such strikes

WASHINGTON, April 24. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said he was unhappy with Russia's massive strike on military facilities in Ukraine and called for a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

"I am not happy with the Russian strikes on Kiev," the US leader wrote on his Truth Social page. "[They are] not necessary, and very bad timing," Trump emphasized.

He called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to order a halt to such strikes. "Let's get the peace deal done," the US leader added.

The Russian Armed Forces earlier on Thursday launched a massive attack on Ukraine's aviation, rocket and space, machine-building and armored vehicle industries, as well as rocket fuel and gunpowder production facilities. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the targets of the strike were hit.
