Ukrainians residing in Poland started receiving summonses — Strana
According to the media outlet, the authenticity of summonses has not been established
MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Ukrainians residing in the Polish city of Lublin began getting summonses to report to the recruiting center of the Ukrainian Legion, which recruits Ukrainians living in Europe to the Ukrainian army, the Strana edition reported, quoting Telegram channels.
It also shared a photo of the summons, emphasizing that its authenticity has not been established. At the same time, according to Strana, the recruitment center of the unit is indeed located in Lublin.
Vladimir Zelensky created the Ukrainian Legion volunteer military unit in Poland, which, according to him, can be joined by Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 60, who reside in the EU countries, last July. Before being sent to the combat zone, they will be trained at the Polish military training grounds. According to the latest data, about 950,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Poland since March 2022. In October 2024, Polish Defense Minister W·adys·aw Kosiniak-Kamysz expressed dissatisfaction with the small number of those who enlisted in the legion.
